Hi, I’m Blessing Omakwu.

By my early 30s, I had built a life that looked nearly perfect on paper:

✅ Law degree

✅ Marriage

✅ Prestigious job

✅ High-rise apartment

✅ Etc, etc

And yet, I found myself in the depths of despair. The life I had built no longer reflected who I was or what I wanted, and I felt trapped in it.

So, I made the radical decision to burn everything to the ground. In just over a year, I left my job, ended my marriage, moved cities and began the daunting but liberating work of co-creating a life that is fully mine with God.

The Pivot Diaries is a newsletter series from this liminal space– the messy, sacred, in-between of transformation– both in rearview mirror and real-time perspective. Part memoir, part self-help, these essays explore identity, loss, purpose, and the art of reinvention. They are for anyone who has ever questioned the life they were supposed to live and dared to ask: What if there’s more? Think Eat Pray Love with Black girl soul and faith as an anchor.

This is a raw, deeply personal, and I should add– limited series. Catch it while you can.
